We set off early for Penzance this morning, from where we board our ferry to the enchanting Isles of Scilly . We arrive on the beautiful island of St Mary’s, the largest of the Isles of Scilly and the gateway to the rest of the islands. Measuring approximately 2 ½ miles by 1 ¾ miles, the compact island is a delight to explore, with a selection of shops, churches and galleries dotted around the central hub, Hugh Town, as well as some charming cafés, restaurants and pubs where we can enjoy lunch. We can also stretch our legs on one of the lovely beaches, take a gentle stroll to admire the fabulous scenery or simply watch the comings and goings around the Quay before catching our return ferry . (NB: today’s excursion requires an early departure from, and a late return to, our hotel.) Day 3 Marazion, Land’s End & St Ives This morning we head to the attractive town of Marazion, where we enjoy a photo stop to capture the tidal island of St Michael’s Mount, which lies half a mile offshore. We then continue our travels to the famous Land’s End, known as the start or finishing point of journeys to or from John o’ Groats in Scotland. We spend some time soaking in the natural beauty and beautiful views here before travelling along the scenic West Cornwall Coast Road to the picturesque fishing harbour and seaside town of St Ives, where we have time at leisure to explore the numerous galleries and the Barbara Hepworth Museum & Sculpture Garden. Day 4 Trebah Garden & Falmouth Today we make our way to Trebah Garden with free time to explore this sub-tropical garden paradise. Set against a stunning coastal backdrop, at the bottom of the garden there is also a secluded private beach on the Helford River to admire. (NB: Trebah Garden has sections that are accessible only by steps and/or steep paths.) We then head to Falmouth with time at leisure to enjoy lunch in one of the many eateries and to explore this lovely coastal town. Known for its fascinating maritime heritage, we may wish to visit the National Maritime Museum Cornwall or Pendennis Castle, or simply stroll around the harbour, beaches, galleries and shops. Day 5 Departure After breakfast, we make our way home. INCLUSIONS • Return ferry crossing Penzance - Isles of Scilly • Entrance to Trebah Garden • Early breakfast at the hotel on day 2

Joanne says… I really liked this hotel; it’s a beautiful building in an excellent location overlooking Falmouth Bay. The public areas have been refurbished to a very high standard and look stunning! There are some lovely features including a grand staircase and an ornate mosaic tiled floor which they only recently discovered under the carpets! This is a fantastic hotel and an ideal base for exploring this popular area. “
