Day 1 Arrival We arrive at our hotel in time for dinner. Day 2 Wye Valley, Tintern & Symonds Yat

This morning we enjoy a scenic drive to Tintern Abbey . We spend time exploring before visiting the town’s craft and antique shops. Next we travel to Symonds Yat, a famous viewpoint over the Wye Valley. We also take a circular River Wye cruise . Day 3 Chepstow & Dean Forest Railway Today begins with a visit to Chepstow Castle , perched high above the River Wye. After exploring the market town of Chepstow, we then travel to Norchard and the Dean Forest Railway . We have time to visit the museum here and the locomotive restoration shed before embarking on a return journey on a steam or heritage diesel train . Day 4 Black & White Villages and Hereford Today, we visit the famous Black & White villages of Weobley, Pembridge & Leominster. These medieval villages have some of England’s prettiest half-timbered buildings with art galleries, cosy pubs and traditional tearooms. Next we enjoy free time in Hereford. HOW ABOUT? This would be the ideal day to add in a step-on guide service, introducing a fabulous local guide who can bring the magnificent local surroundings to life with fascinating commentary. Today we enjoy a scenic drive though this quintessentially English region. We travel to pretty towns & villages such as elegant Stow-on-the Wold, picturesque Broadway and charming Chipping Campden. We stop in the picturesque town of Moreton-in-Marsh, where the Cotswolds’ largest street market takes place on Tuesday. Day 3 Cheltenham & Steam Train to Broadway This morning, we have some free time to explore Cheltenham at leisure. This Regency town, made popular as a spa destination by George III, brims with history. Next we ride the Gloucestershire Warwickshire steam train to the nearby town of Broadway, sometimes dubbed the ‘Jewel of the Cotswolds’. Day 4 Gloucester & Miserden Garden We spend this morning at leisure in the city of Gloucester. Perhaps visit the 11th-century Cathedral, which doubled as Hogwarts in many Harry Potter films, delve into the award- winning Gloucester Waterways Museum or roam the shops and factory outlets of the waterside Gloucester Quays. This afternoon we visit the Miserden Garden , a 17th century idyll nestled in the Cotswolds Hills. Wander this walled garden, famous for its stunning mixed borders & 200-year-old sycamore tree grown through a stone wall. NB: Access to Miserden Gardens will be through some narrow country roads at points. Day 5 Departure After breakfast, we make our way home.
