Day 1 Arrival in Blackpool We arrive at our hotel in time for dinner. Day 2 Windermere Lake Cruise, Ambleside & Grasmere This morning, we make our way via Newby Bridge to Bowness-on-Windermere, often considered the gateway to the Lake District. We have some free time to explore this pretty town perched on the shores of Windermere before we embark on a scenic 30-minute Lake Cruise to Ambleside . On arrival in Ambleside, we meet our coach to take us into its charming centre where we have time at leisure to have lunch, stroll the picturesque streets and see the iconic Bridge House, a tiny stone house perched above Stock Beck. Next, we travel to Grasmere where have time free to delve into this chocolate-box village. Be sure to visit The Grasmere Gingerbread Shop for some of its traditional gingerbread—the much-loved creation of a Victorian cook Sarah Nelson—and stroll the Wordsworth Daffodil Garden, which honours Wordsworth’s famous poem ‘The Daffodils’. Day 3 Carnforth Station Heritage Centre & Morecambe This morning, we travel to Morecambe with a stop en route at the famous Carnforth Station Heritage

Centre and Refreshment Room. Fully restored to its 1940’s glory when the Refreshment Room was used as the setting for David Lean’s film “Brief Encounter”, we enjoy the nostalgia of the station before enjoying a delicious afternoon tea in the Brief Encounter Refreshment Room . We then travel to Morecambe, where we have some free time to stretch our legs on the famous Lancashire coast before returning to Blackpool. Day 4 Blackpool We spend today at leisure in Blackpool. With your included local bus & tram pass , stroll the famous promenade or Central Pier for stunning views over the golden beaches and Irish Sea, visit Showtown, the resort’s new all-singing, all dancing museum. Soak up panoramic views from the top of the Blackpool Tower, browse the shops or simply relax in one of the many great restaurants, cafés or bars.
