Day 1 Arrival We arrive at our hotel in time for dinner. Day 2 Grassington, Skipton & Canal Cruise

Today we head to Grassington in the Dales. The cobbled market square was used as the market town of TV’s All Creatures Great & Small. Our next stop is Skipton. We embark on a leisurely 3-hour return canal cruise along the Leeds Liverpool Canal, complete with commentary and ploughman’s lunch on board . With time at leisure, we can browse the weekly market and the town centre. On our return, we can have time at leisure in Skipton before returning to our hotel with time at leisure to explore the local area. Day 3 Wensleydale Railway & World of James Herriot This morning, we travel to Leeming Bar to board the Wensleydale Railway for a journey to Leyburn. Next, we travel to Askrigg, a TV location of the fictional town and pub; Darrowby and the Drovers Arms. Later, we head to Thirsk to look around The World of James Herriot . Home of James Herriot and where he worked and wrote. Day 4 Hawes, Wensleydale Creamery & Sheepdog demonstration This morning, we make our way to Hawes to visit the Wensleydale Creamery where we will learn about the history of Wensleydale cheese, watch a cheese-making demonstration, visit the viewing gallery and enjoy a guided cheese tasting . We then have free time in Hawes. Later in afternoon, we visit Richard Fawcett, a local farmer and sheepdog handler for a working sheepdog demonstration . Day 5 Departure After breakfast, we make our way home. INCLUSIONS • 3 hr ploughman’s lunch Skipton Boat Cruise • Single journey on the Wensleydale Railway (Leeming Bar – Leyburn)

Around lunchtime we will then embark on a leisurely 3-hour return canal cruise along the Leeds-Liverpool Canal, complete with commentary and 2 course light lunch . We return to our hotel with time at leisure to explore locally. Day 3 Hebden Bridge, Haworth, Keighley & Worth Valley Railway & Ilkley This morning, we embark on a circular scenic drive. Our first stop is pretty Hebden Bridge in the Upper Calder Valley, a filming location for the popular Happy Valley TV series. Here we have the chance to explore. We next travel to Keighley via picturesque Haworth, home of the famous Brontë sisters, and an undisputed literary mecca. In the afternoon, we enjoy a one-way journey through Brontë country on the Keighley & Worth Valley Railway . We return to the hotel early afternoon where we have free time. Day 4 Settle - Carlisle Railway Today, we enjoy a spectacular return journey on the famous Settle to Carlisle Railway . We begin in Skipton and journey through the Yorkshire Dales before descending to Cumbria’s lush green Eden Valley. We travel through 72 miles of unspoilt countryside & over the famous Ribblehead Viaduct. We arrive in Carlisle at lunchtime and have free time here before we board our train again for our return journey. Day 5 Departure After breakfast, we make our way home. INCLUSIONS • 3 hour return Skipton canal cruise with 2 course light lunch • One way journey on Keighley & Worth Valley Railway, (Haworth - Keighley) • Return journey on Settle to Carlisle Railway, (Skipton – Carlisle)
