Day 1 Arrival We arrive at our hotel in time for dinner. Day 2 New Lanark Mill Driver’s Day Off

crowned here in 1543. We can wander through its Great Hall, elegant Chapel Royal, Great Kitchens and marvel at the intricate Stirling Tapestries. Day 4 Dawyck Botanic Garden & Traquair House This morning takes us to the Dawyck Botanic Garden, home to one of Scotland’s finest tree collections which includes some of Britain’s oldest and tallest trees, famous for outstanding seasonal displays. The 65 acres of enchanting woodland is a sanctuary for endangered species with some of the first to be collected and introduced to Scotland. This afternoon, we enjoy a guided tour of Traquair House . Set in the heart of the Tweed Valley, Scotland’s oldest inhabited house, it has been lived in for over 900 years and has been visited by an incredible 27 Scottish kings and queens. Day 5 Departure After breakfast, we make our way home. We spend today at the New Lanark World Heritage Site . One of Scotland’s six UNESCO World Heritage Sites, we discover the fascinating 200-year social history of this beautifully restored cotton mill village. Listen to the story of a mill girl from 1820 during the Annie McLeod Experience, see working textile machinery, enjoy the views from the imaginatively designed roof garden and explore the Millworkers’ House, The Village Store and Robert Owen’s House and School. The Mill Shop offers a selection of delightful gifts and Scottish produce including wool which is spun on site. Day 3 Falkirk Wheel & Stirling Castle In the morning, we visit the Falkirk Wheel for a guided tour and journey on the world’s first and only rotating boat lift, an incredible feat of engineering and a famous Scottish landmark. It was designed and built to connect the Forth & Clyde Canal and the Union Canal which allows coast to coast navigation across central Scotland. In the afternoon, we head for the impressive city of Stirling to visit Stirling Castle. One of Scotland’s most important fortifications, Mary Queen of Scots was
