Day 1 Arrival We arrive at our hotel in time for dinner. Day 2 Powis Castle & Gardens OR Brobury House Gardens This morning, we head to Powis Castle which began life as a medieval fortress. We spend time at leisure exploring the castle and its world-famous garden. OR Set on the banks of the River Wye in Herefordshire, Brobury House is a charming Victorian building surrounded by stunning gardens. Dating back to the 1880s with panoramic views of the countryside, the gardens are truly beautiful in every season. Day 3 Vale of Rheidol Railway & Aberystwyth Today we enjoy a 3-hour round trip on the Vale of Rheidol Railway through some of Wales’ most spectacular scenery. We also have time to visit the museum before spending the rest of the afternoon at leisure exploring Aberystwyth. Day 4 Brecon Mountain Railway & Penderyn Distillery Today we board the Brecon Mountain Railway for a journey along the Taf Fechan Reservoir to Torpantau high in the Brecon Beacons. We have free time for lunch at Pant Station’s Tearoom and time to visit the locomotive workshop before heading to Penderyn Distillery where we enjoy a guided tour and tasting . Day 5 Departure After breakfast, we make our way home.
