ANNEX 1 - EQUIPMENT LIST
Any equipment used during this GWO training module shall meet or exceed the minimum requirements of the national standards in the country where the training is taking place.
When working in a country where there is no applicable national standard then the equipment shall meet or exceed the minimum requirements of the European Standards.
The following equipment is required during the entire duration of the training to meet the needs of the EFA module:
•
torso anatomy dummy
•
airway model
• resuscitation mannequins - adult (e.g. for ventilation, airways devices, AED use, immobilisation) one to four participants (or as in accordance with local guidelines)
•
first aid equipment
•
first aid bag suitable for enhanced first aid one to six participants
•
moulage simulation kit for first aid scenarios
• training AED (Automated External Defibrillator) one to four participants (or as in accordance with local guidelines)
• medical oxygen therapy equipment including high concentration breathing masks
•
national best practice airway devices e.g.
o supraglottic airway devices one to six participants o oropharyngeal airways one set to six participants o nasopharyngeal airways one set to six participants o manual suction devices one to six participants
•
bag valve mask and accessories one to six participants
•
pulse oximeter for heart rate monitoring one to six participants
•
trauma pressure dressings, haemostatic agents/dressings, tourniquets
•
eyewash fluid
• medications e.g., realistic analgesic (exercise samples without active ingredients) one to six participants
