The participants shall:
Explain, practise and demonstrate:
a. functions of emergency rescue teams (internal onsite or external as part of the chain of survival), external professional emergency rescue teams, the skills required, and the challenges associated
b. providing ongoing care and assessment while waiting for professional help to arrive
c. the use of medical teleconsultation and communication media
d. how to obtain telemedical advice and challenges associated e.g. poor communication skills, lack of signal, language barrier

The aim of this lesson is to enable the participants to follow a methodical sequence to identify and treat life threatening time critical injuries and illness in a wind industry environment.
After having successfully completed this lesson, the participants can:
33) Take responsibility for the management of emergencies (accident/illness) in remote areas supported by teleconsultation (Ability, intermediate level)
34) Take responsibility for delivering immediate enhanced first aid to stabilise the casualty, to include but not limited to: using standardised methodologies, specifically the primary and secondary survey - based on the "C" A-B-C-D-E principle (Ability, intermediate level)
a.
stopping life-threatening bleeding
b.
establishing and maintaining an airway
c. resuscitation and the use of automated external defibrillator (AED) according to the indications
d. using basic and advanced first aid equipment in a first aid scenario
