Enhanced First Aid Standard / V6 10032026
The aim of this lesson is to enable the participants to assess, lead, assist and provide the correct enhanced first aid in an incident through scenario-based training by refreshing and building on participants previously acquired knowledge and skills.
It is recommended that participants should undertake a general warm up exercise before commencing scenario-based training and practise manual handling techniques throughout.
Note
After having successfully completed this lesson of the Enhanced First Aid Refresher Training, the participants can, through different scenarios:
79) Take responsibility for administering safe, effective, and immediate lifesaving and enhanced first aid measures to save life and give assistance in remote areas using advanced emergency equipment and medical teleconsultation, while having particular regard for personal protection (Ability, intermediate level)
ELEMENT 7.1 - PRACTICE FIRST AID TECHNIQUES
Learning objectives:
80) The participants can take responsibility for correctly assessing, assisting, and providing the necessary first aid in an incident (Ability, intermediate level)
81) The participants can apply basic and advanced first aid equipment in a first aid situation (Skills, intermediate level)
82) The participants can manage colleagues’ effort in first aid situations (Ability, advanced level)
83) The participants can show interest for AED safety procedures and correct use of an AED (Ability, intermediate level)
The instructor shall:
Explain safety procedures in the training area
Ensure that the following topics are covered during scenario-based training:
a.
managing incidents using medical teleconsultation
b.
providing necessary lifesaving first aid
