The instructor shall:

Explain that there are hydraulic tasks to be completed in the turbine after the main components have been installed

ELEMENT 9.2 - EXAMPLES OF HYDRAULIC COMPLETION

Learning objectives:

75) The participants can describe examples of topics during pre-assembly and installation while performing hydraulic completion (Knowledge, basic level)

76) The participants can describe the importance of following the work instructions (Knowledge, basic level)

77) The participants can describe the importance of cleanliness in hydraulic completion (Knowledge, basic level)

The instructor shall:

Show examples of and describe hydraulic tasks that need to be completed after the installation of the main components:

a.

mounting of the hydraulics at the hub

b.

connecting the hydraulic rotating union

c.

mounting the hydraulic yaw brake (if present)

Ask the participants relevant questions about examples of topics during pre-assembly and installation while performing hydraulic completion

Explain the importance of following the work instructions (avoid leaks and breakdowns)

Explain the importance of cleanliness (most breakdowns are due to contamination)

Facilitate discussions about the importance of following the work instructions and cleanliness

The participants shall:
