Table 7.3.1 - Teach back session overview

In the teach back sessions, (Except for teach back session 1) the participants demonstrate how they meet learning objectives from the former lessons. Therefore, a decisive part of the participants assessment is based on the participants performance in the teach back sessions.

Furthermore, the feedback after teach back sessions should focus on improvement and development.

7.4 IQT Module Participants Assessment IQT participants are assessed against the overall learning objectives described above (Section 7.1 Aims and objectives of the IQT Module) and the criteria derived therefrom as listed in the IQT Participant Performance Assessment Form in the IQT Standard, Annex 4.

7.5 IQT Module Participant Ratio

The ratios shown below indicate the maximum number of participants per instructor attending the learning activity.

If there are more than 6 participants for teach back sessions, one more instructor must facilitate the observation and feedback in order to stay inside the given time frame.

Minimum number of participants on the IQT should ideally be no less than four participants to reach the expected learning outcome. This minimum number will ensure dynamic learning activities in different constellations that support the adult learning principles, interactions and reflection activities

7.6 Training settings If the IQT is split into groups of lessons, these should be concluded within a three-month period. Each group duration should not be less than three days to ensure learning flow in a safe and constructive learning environment. Furthermore, the participants should be assigned to apply their newly aquired knowledge, skills, and abilities to their teaching practice in the intervening periods and share their reflections on this at their next session.
