TEACH BACK SESSION 1, OPENING
10 min. per participant
The aim of this first teach back session is to create a first experience and to initiate reflections concerning preparation and presentation in a class. Furthermore, this first teach back session will enable the development of a safe learning space and mitigate concerns of presenting to an audience. In this teach back session, the participant shall conduct a short presentation to a group and introduce themselves, explain their reasons for participating in the programme, and share any relevant training experience, supporting rapport-building and peer learning.
The duration of the teach back should be 10 min. per participant.
ADULT LEARNING, PRINCIPLES OF MOTIVATION
The aim for this lesson is to enable the participants to support future target audience in developing motivation and the driving force to learn.
After having successfully completed this lesson, the participants can:
14) Show interest in how motivation impacts the commitment and engagement to learn (Ability, Basic level)
15) Describe principles and challenges from barriers to learning and how to address these (Knowledge, Basic level)
CULTURE AWARENESS
The aim for this lesson is to enable the participants to apply culture awareness in their planning considerations and choice of pedagogical design in learning activities.
After having successfully completed this lesson, the participants can:
16) Show interest in different cultures amongst the learners (Ability, Basic level)
17) Recognise challenges that may arise in cross cultural communication in the context of learning (Knowledge, basic)
COMMUNICATION, BODY LANGUAGE
The aim of this lesson is to enable the IQT participants to be aware of their own body language, and to observe and understand their course participants bodily reactions and signals.
