GWO TAXONOMY FRAMEWORK, CONCEPTS, LEARNING DOMAINS,

AND LEVELS

The aim of this lesson is to familiarise participants with the GWO Taxonomy Framework with its domains and levels and the associated supporting sections to enable the participants to find support and inspiration for planning, conducting and assessing participants during learning activities.

After successfully completing this lesson, the participants can:

32) Describe the structure and the purpose of the GWO Taxonomy Framework (Knowledge, Basic level)

33) Apply the basic concepts of the GWO Taxonomy Framework when planning and conducting learning activities (Skills, Intermediate level)

34) Explain how the GWO Taxonomy supports the alignment between learning objectives, learning activities, and assessment (Knowledge, Intermediate level)

QUESTION STYLES

The aim of this lesson is to enable the participants to focus their questions in relation to their intentions.

After having successfully completed this lesson, the participants can:

35) Apply understanding of question styles to course delivery to direct discussion in order to reach a specific taxonomic level (Skills, Intermediate level)

36) Experiment with alternate question styles to achieve outcomes (Skills, Intermediate level)

ASSESSMENT

The aim of this lesson is to enable participants to understand the role, application, and strategy of both formative and summative assessments in the learning process. It will also provide participants with insight into various assessment strategies that support learner development, monitor progress, and evaluate achievement against defined learning objectives in the context of safety training. Included in this, the aim is to enable participants to use the GWO Participant Performance Assessment Form (summative) as part of the training delivery assessment strategy, against training aims, learning objectives and assessment criteria.
