ACTIVE LISTENING AND COACHING

The aim of this lesson is to enable participants to improve training quality through coaching, using active listening as a key communication technique during coaching sessions to support constructive dialogue between the instructor and participants.

After having successfully completed this lesson, the participants can:

48) Explain the principles of structured coaching in both a learning and feedback situation (Knowledge, Intermediate level)

49) Apply active listening techniques during coaching sessions (Skills, Intermediate level)

TEACH BACK SESSION

45 min. per participant (30 min. teach back, 15 min. feedback)

The aim of this teach back is two-fold: 1) That the fellow course participants are expected to gain knowledge from the teach back, and 2) To assess the delivering IQTX participant’s planning and teaching skills

The teach back topic is selected during the programme from the GWO Taxonomy Framework list of concepts which may include:
