Q Dear Colin, My mediumship abilities came on quite suddenly after a near death experience. Communicating with spirit felt completely natural. I’m told that I’m really speaking with guides, and they are the ones speaking to the spirit person. This seems confusing and doesn’t really make sense to me. Can you help sort this out? I always felt like I speak directly to spirit. JR

Dear JR, I understand your thoughts on this matter and I agree with you 100%. When we communicate as mediums, our spiritual guides are present in the space around us, whether it is our door keeper or the spiritual guide who helps us with our mediumship development. The spirit communicator (discarnate soul) is the one who brings the information forward and places it by thought into your awareness so that you can convey it to the recipient. Colin
