From the bottom of our heart, we say thank you to our donors, volunteers, customers and supporters who generously donated to AnglicareSA’s Winter Appeal. The Winter Appeal raised more than $104,000 for AnglicareSA’s Emergency Assistance program, which provides short-term food relief, clothing and other basic essentials to individuals and families in financials crisis. We also offer financial counselling and referrals to other wrap-around support services. Donations to the Winter Appeal directly helped more than 12,000 South Australians seeking assistance at our sites – more than half of these were families with children. Winter is always a busy time for our Emergency Assistance program and with the rising cost of living, including soaring grocery bills, house prices and rent, and the economic impacts of COVID-19, even more South Australians have found themselves in crisis. With your support, our Emergency Assistance sites, in metropolitan Adelaide and regional South Australia, can continue to offer a warm and welcoming place for people to regain control of their lives.
