Woodhouse Workspace Spanning 40 years, Woodhouse operates throughout the South-East of the UK providing assistance to companies striving for innovative high-quality workspaces.

Global Radio Office design & fitout / 60,000 sq ft / Media The brief Global Radio commissioned us to transform th ir West End headquarters. The work included all eight floors of the building, from reception to the rooftop terrace. Woodhouse was involved across the full spectrum of the project: planning, design and fit-out. Our solution Working closely with Global Radio, we themed each of the breakout spaces and meeting rooms to match the branding of the individual radio stations. The building has a thin U-shaped floor-plate, but our design works with it, helping to facilitate better communication between teams. The transformation was achieved by designing and utilising a wide range of elements: partitions and ceilings, toilets

The workspace includes:

Entrance area with spiral staircase Coffee bar and lounge area Flexible meeting spaces – including lecture theatre and conference rooms Branded meeting rooms, with online room booking system Informal breakout spaces and tea points Sun-lit rooftop terrace, with retractable awnings and infra-red heaters

and showers, fabrics and finishes, signage and branding, chairs and desking, lighting, wall claddings, floor coverings and more.

Ruffer LLP remodelled to create a smarter workspace in the heart of London Victoria Office design & fitout / 15,000 sq ft / Professional services

The brief When Ruffer’s sub-lease expired they took the opportunity to retain the additional space themselves for their own growth and expansion. A completely new office refurbishment programme was instigated that greatly elevated their whole workspace experience, with new collaboration and breakout areas. The additional space had the added benefit of providing swing space whilst they carried out the major remodelling programme.

The Business

Woodhouse design and build smarter workspaces for a diverse client base. The strengths of the business lie in attention to detail and professional craftmanship which is evident in their handling of the project process. Projects typically follow the prcoess detailed below: Brief All assignments will start with a brief incorporating the aspirations and needs of the client, allowing clients to meet the individuals assigned to their project. Design The design stage follows and will incorporate 3D visuals on all projects allowing clients to feel confident that their ambitions will be met for the desired office space, ensuring the conceptual design adheres to the specifications. Mobilisation Communication in any design and build project is essential. Woodhouse will work closely with their clients and partners, obtaining planning permission and landlord approval where required, and ensuring that all labour and materials are ready to go from day one. Construction With 40 years in construction, Woodhouse can handle any challenge that a site can present. Each site they work on has a dedicated Project Manager and Site Manager, ensuring safety and efficiency throughout the fitout. Furniture With a design centre and showroom in Hatfield, furniture is project specific and hand-picked by Woodhouse, for each individual contract.

Support Provide ongoing support and maintenance.

Job Specification - Business Development Manager

Main Areas of Responsibility X X Developing relationships within the Central London region, specifically amongst commercial real estate professionals X X From this network, creating leads and referrals relevant to the Woodhouse design & build model X X Generating contracts within office design, refurbishment and fitout X X Creating and identifying a league table of the London agents/professionals to devise a business strategy and targeting process X X Presentations to prospective clients and stakeholders where necessary X X Maintaining relationships once established and promotion of the Woodhouse brand externally X X We’re targeting £4-5 million sales in the first year within the London Market (minimum 5,000 sq ft.)

Qualifications, Education and Training X X A relevant professional qualification within Real Estate is desirable X X Strong verbal communication and written English comprehension skills X X Educated to degree level would be advantageous

Experience X X Previous experience in a design & build workspace fitout company and/or in the property sector X X An in depth, working knowledge of the real estate industry X X Ability to embrace change in a developing business X X Must have experience in lead generation / business development / networking for opportunities to sell

Knowledge X X CRM experience desirable X X Strong Excel and IT skills

Skills and Abilities X X Pro-active - ‘can do’ attitude X X Focussed, with a commercial understanding of the real estate market X X A ‘gifted networker’ with a substantial and demonstrable contact base within the London real estate professional marketplace X X A professional work ethos, well presented, promoting Woodhouse at conferences/networking events X X Strong communicator both internally and externally Outline Terms and Conditions X X The working day will normally be 8am to 5pm, Monday to Friday, together with such hours as reasonably required to ensure the efficient discharge of duties X X Based from our head office in Hatfield, Hertfordshire but working predominantly working in London, the candidate will be expected in the head office at least twice a week X X A competitive salary, commensurate with the demands of the appointment will be offered to the successful applicant
