call home! That is exactly what Executive Director 5 Katie Anderson has done. “Melaleuca is my forever home,” Katie said. She told attendees that Road to Executive Director is a life-changing
contribution). She chalked up much of her success at Melaleuca to one important principle: treat your business like a business. In other words, no tricks, no schemes, no enrolling your grandmother 12 times. Build the right way.
event, and she encouraged them to decide whether Melaleuca is home for them. After a detailed presentation of her methods, processes, and strategies (and plenty of positive energy), Katie echoed the presenters before her and encouraged the attendees to keep persisting. “Do not stop. Keep going!” she urged. “Find your tenacity! There are people out there who are drowning, and they are looking for a home.”
“We have a responsibility to protect Melaleuca,” she admonished. “You are part of an elite group.” Beth has always kept in mind what Melaleuca has done for her and what that has meant for her, her family, and her team. “You cannot lose your momentum; don’t lose sight of the fight.”
National Director 2 Sabrina Ellis talked about moving past flat spots and how every business builder needs a strategy to move past them. Using Melaleuca’s annual growth chart, Sabrina showed that even Melaleuca has experienced flat spots. But looking at that chart as a whole, one can’t help but only notice the growth! She shared a great thought from Frank VanderSloot about this: “Success is a journey through the flat spots.” Sabrina has hit her own flat spots, and in moving past them she has learned that “direction, not speed, determines your destination.” Many things can help Marketing Executives maintain the right direction, but the most important thing is to engage with the Seven Critical Business-Building Activities (especially the first four). Whatever you decide to do, look at Melaleuca as a place to grow your roots and
MOTIVATE YOURSELF “Motivation is not in our wheelhouse,” said Frank. “Motivate means to move, and only you can motivate yourself.” Indeed, motivate comes from the Latin motivus , which refers to movement or motion. Though Melaleuca itself can’t move Marketing Executives to action, Melaleuca events, like Road to Executive Director, offer critical tools and instruction to help keep the process alive. Be persistent. Take action. Gain momentum. And no matter what, no matter your failures or flat spots, don’t stop or slow down! Make Melaleuca your home, and help others do the same.
