It is my pleasure to introduce you to our poinsettia offering. Throughout the catalog, you will see poinsettias that appeal to both growers and consumers. Our poinsettia program is a combination of two trusted brands: Ecke and Red Fox. Together, these two brands offer superior, grower-friendly genetics bred with grower solutions in mind. While grower success is our top priority, the beauty of our plants also appeal to retailers and consumers. Flurry is hitting the scene as our brightest white yet! With a traditional bract presentation and dark green foliage, it is sure to become the staple white in your program, with true mid-season timing. Flurry is a strong plant from roots to shoots for production ease. Controllable vigor makes Flurry a good choice for a variety of container sizes. And paint if you must….the large flat bracts create a perfect canvas for value-add painting. Classic reds are the core of any poinsettia program. Both FabYULEous and Runway Red had their debut in 2022- what a year they both had! FabYULEous made its mark as a perfect fit for Thanksgiving sales in a variety of container sizes. Runway Red shines with large, bright red bracts and a vigor well suited larger container sizes. Trend setting Tidings Dark Pink and Tidings Light Pink are a perfectly matched pair. Grow them alone or in a unique combination planter. In either case, they create interest at retail and spark consumer demand. Spotted at retail in the 2022 season, Tidings Dark Pink was the highlight of many retail programs. Novelties round out a strong poinsettia program. They offer retailers the opportunity to extend sales and encourage consumers to buy multiple plants throughout the season with their changing décor, from autumn into Thanksgiving, and finally Christmas. Minis
The mini poinsettia offers an inexpensive niche item for consumers with limited living or desk space. From a practical, money- saving point of view, mini poinsettias provide a high-density, short production cycle option. While growing any poinsettia variety as a mini is possible, proper cultural techniques and variety selection insure success. Dümmen Orange offers a URC cutting specifically produced with mini production in mind. This limited list of varieties have smaller bract size, natural compactness, and excellent shelf life making them an easy choice for mini production. A successful mini poinsettia crop also begins by using the proper size URC. URC mini cuttings grown at our Ethiopian farm are from mother plants dedicated to mini cutting production. This smaller cutting minimizes the need for excessive growth regulating at grower level and insures success!
