The Red Ra m s were carried through b y a powerful perfor- m ance fro m pitcher Brodie Burns. “Their pitcher was throwing with so m e ve- locit y that we just hadn’t seen before this y ear,” e x plained Kenned y , who coaches the Ti m - berwolves with Brad Westgate and Sean Addis. “And the y were s m art ball pla y ers. An y ball that was hit the y ate it up and dealt with it prett y quickl y . Their hitting wasn’t unbelievable, but it was ti m el y . If the y had so m eone on base, m ore often than not the y cashed the m in.” The Ti m berwolves had better luck in the se m is against the La Salle Knights, beating the m 5-4 in e x tra innings. BCI got to the final with a 15-1 m auling of St. Joseph’s.The Red Ra m s now m ove on to the OFSAA Eastern Regionals. The tourna m ent also served as a fundraiser for the Upper Canada District School Board Cha m - pions for Kids Foundation. Organizers accepted donations in lieu of ad m ission, and raised $ 200 for the Foundation.
