Fund Names and Numbers
Incorrect Usage
n Irvine Animal Care Center, 6443 Oak Canyon, Irvine Irvine Civic Center vs. Irvine City Hall Irvine Civic Center refers to City Hall and the Irvine Po- lice Department as a group. City Hall just refers to the building, not including the Irvine Police Department. Abbreviations Do not use abbreviations for street, lane, court, avenue or other such references. See Abbreviations and Acronyms , Page 14. Uppercase Use uppercase for street, lane, court, avenue or other such references when they are part of a full address.
When referencing City fund names and numbers in financial reports or documents, capitalize the name of the funding source, and list the fund number in lower- case including all numerals in the reference, even for those beginning with zero.
Correct Usage
n City Council approved an allocation of $21,660 of Irvine Recovery Plan Funds, fund 014, to the Public Works & Transportation Department.
The General Fund (fund 001)

Yale Avenue

Lowercase Use lowercase for street, lane, court, avenue or other such references with plural uses.
