CORE values Alongside our Change Maker mindset, everything we do is based around our CORE values. We expect all staff members to share and demonstrate a commitment to these.
From humble beginnings in 1967, we’ve grown to become the largest department at the University of Warwick, with staff based at our main building, located in Coventry on the University’s campus, or at our London base at The Shard. We aim to provide a stimulating and fulfilling work environment for all across our Professional Services and Academic roles, where you’ll feel supported to grow professionally and develop your knowledge and skills. For nearly 60 years, we’ve been helping people turn ambition into action – and equipping them to make a real difference. From the pioneering research we undertake, to the students we help to shape, Warwick Business School is for the Change Makers who will impact the world for the better. Change Makers are staff, students, alumni and partners who see challenges as opportunities and focus on progress rather than perfection. They’re drawn to taking action, learning as they go, and doing the things that will really move the needle forward. For them, the future isn’t what you imagine – it’s what you make it. We were the first UK business school to be triple accredited by the major accrediting bodies (EQUIS, AMBA, AACSB) and to receive the Athena SWAN Gold Award for our work on improving gender equality. Our community come from a wide variety of backgrounds, cultures, and nationalities, and we strive to have an open and welcoming environment where everyone can be themselves.

I was aware of Warwick Business School’s reputation and when I wanted to move from my administrative role at a primary school in Rugby, I started looking at job opportunities. When I visited, I was impressed by the facilities and the genuine warmth of the team members. I also considered the package the University offers - pension, staff discounts and development opportunities.” Emma Hooper Programme Coordinator, Master’s Programmes
I’ve had a lot of opportunities to gain new skills and become educated about the machinations of the University as a whole. Not all workplaces have these opportunities or provide you with time to work on them. If you make a mistake or error, you also don’t feel like the world is about to end.” Michael Price

These include: ■ A suite of developmental opportunities, customised to your needs. Past workshops have included: presence and impact in the classroom; designing assessments and providing feedback; narrative, structure and storytelling techniques for teaching; and integrating sustainability into business education curriculum ■ An annual Teaching and Learning Symposium brings teaching faculty together and provides an opportunity to share teaching practices with colleagues, explore current developments and challenges in teaching, and gain practical takeaways. We strongly encourage all colleagues to develop their professional practice through fellowships with the Higher Education Academy, the development of case studies, the adoption of new technologies, and through access to University networks such as the Warwick International Higher Education Academy (WIHEA). All teaching-track staff are allocated workload credit to undertake Scholarship of Teaching and Learning (SoTL), with further credit available to those who undertake innovative and more complex projects. SoTL aims include supporting faculty to access and engage with training, development, mentoring, and collaborative activities that advance their individual development and progression, build their professional identity, and enable them to progress and develop within WBS and Warwick.
