The Planning and Pacing Continuum The guidance below provides a continuum for using Ready4Reading materials week by week. The system’s instruction and modular design allow teachers to customize this plan according to their specific calendars, the progress of their students, and school or district requirements. Students may be placed at different points across the continuum depending on their grade-level equivalencies, as determined by the Letters2Meaning assessment, other assessments, teacher’s judgment, or other strong criteria. The Scope and Sequence, designed with and reviewed by our expert authors and consultants, serves as the organizational backbone for all Ready4Reading teaching and learning materials. Ready4Reading includes systematic instruction, targeted practice, and application for each step. Consistent review and opportunities for assessment are woven in throughout.
