Continue to foster partnerships with resort developer to ensure public access to shoreline areas at Bayside. Explore options for special events and public gathering spaces at Bayside. Encourage lake front recreation opportunities in partnership with the Bayside Resort e.g. rgattas, kite board demos and competitions, trail heads, viewing areas, paddle launches.

Minor Destinations: Neighborhood Parks
As parkland is acquired and developed, continue to create a series of “Neighborhood Parks” within the community to serve both residential and commercial neighborhoods with open space and modest, shaded improvements. Provide/add picnic tables to all parks, pocket or major, that do not have them currently. Design and market the City’s neighborhood parks in a way that instills a branded sense of place throughout the community and that is clearly communicated through the City website, wayfinding and on-site signage, and improvements as applicable. Neighborhood parks should be considered as linkages between the City’s parks and recreation destinations, all connected by a common thread of sidewalks and trails (both land and water).
