working with different modalities of creativity I learned to appreciate different styles and perspectives. Now retired, I no longer must corral my creativity to meet a client’s needs. The freedom is exhilarating! Losing myself in my art whether it is fabric, paper, paint, wood, clay, old jewelry or whatever I find, is a blast. I love combining different mediums. This painting started as a simple mono- chromatic landscape inspired by a trip to Mammoth, California. It then morphed into

a rich color palette and light sculptured textured mountains. I named this piece ‘Escape.’ I volunteer at The Drawing Studio on a regular basis to keep my creative juices flowing.
