Operations Manual
Lost Circulation Material (LCM) Exercise caution when running with LCM as it can cause premature tool issues with the RST control and steering sections. Certain flow paths on the RST can be plugged off with small cuttings and LCM material if the mixtures are not clean and added properly to the mud system. RST 475/500 RST 650/675/800/900 Max LCM Concentration lb/bbl (kg/l) 30 (0.13) 50 (0.19) Please refer to Appendix A for the recent D-Tech recommendations on LCM for further examples of LCM and concentrations for running with the system. The use of a PBL or bypass sub along with a dedicated Filter sub is recommended in all applications, where LCM may be used. Appendix A: LCM Recommendations
