The off-site location selected was The White Pines Inn in Mt. Morris, IL. In attendance from the Tech Service team were Max Ballard, Tom Clayton, Steve Starke, Brian Hamm, Lee Hall, Nathan Tippie, and Al Duthie. Also in attendance for discussion of ideas during the week included Steve Meiners, Terry Anderson, Jim Schultz, and Janet Sutton. The annual meeting serves as a step-up from the routine conference calls held every 6-8 weeks during the course of the year. The annual meet- ing is valuable to the group in allowing members to be in the same room for productive interaction and discussion of new ideas. The normal work schedule for Tech Service (group members spread out over the entire country) sim- ply does not allow this to occur. General subjects discussed included: 1-Ways to improve support to the Crest Foods Ingredient Division Sales Group. 2-Discussion of where to anticipate much of the time and attention required for 2016. 3- How to oper- ate differently for effectiveness and do things to separate the group from the competition. 4-Finding ways to up- grade the level of service needed by Crest Foods customers. Specific topics presented during the week included: A focus on aseptic processing of dairy products; The new fermented milk manual; Ultra filtered milk and subsequent use in fortification application; HTST (High Tempera- ture Short Time) processing and communicating better with use of the Information Technology offered by Crest Foods. On Friday, as each person left the meeting to return home, although tired, there was a new sense of group direction, commitment and energy level heading into the new calendar year.
