“Data logging and monitoring is much more of an adapted process,” said Harris, “and many companies have invested in various pieces of technology but now they want to know how to hook it up, how to manage it, how to tend to it, how to regulate it.” The system is open architecture and it can talk to more than 200 PLCs, but it’s also made to work with customers and their engineers. It can run in their environment, with their specific software, and their specific database. WPR employees an array of cameras that provide various func- tions, and provide significant benefits to operators and the overall facility. The first, and one of the most significant, benefits is preventive maintenance. The metrics that the WPR System captures can indicate to the operators when raw materials are low or when a part is about to malfunction.
