T he year 2020 will be remembered as the year of global pandemic and lockdowns but for the Craigavon community and surrounding region, it will also mark the successful completion of South Lake Leisure Centre – a triumph in the face of many challenges. Undertaken by Farrans and completed on time and within budget this November, it is a landmark regeneration project, which will create a refreshingly positive legacy from 2020.
Constructed for Armagh City, Banbridge and Craigavon Borough Council (ABC Council), South Lake Leisure Centre comprises a 50m main pool (with moveable floors and booms), a fun pool, a separate training pool and the largest gym in Northern Ireland.
