FUN POOL DESIGN AND INSTALLATION

They regularly act as a main contractor on schemes, providing a full turnkey solution from start to finish. STRUCTURAL STEEL FABRICATOR AND INSTALLER
S pecialist steel fabricator Walter Watson Ltd supplied and erected 700 tonnes of structural steel along with the cold rolled and cladding rails for South Lake Leisure Centre. The complex nature of this project presented some challenges, but the experienced County Down firm were perfectly equipped to overcome them, as Trevor Irvine, Structural Steel General Manager for Walter Watson explains,
“The cell beams to the pool area are 32m long and weighed 6.5 tonnes each. We had to position the crane outside the building line, which was 6m below floor level in the pool area, to erect them. Likewise in the sports hall we erected trusses which weighed 8 tonnes each.” The County Down based firm is delighted to have played their part in this landmark project. “We enjoyed being involved
