El CDAR da cabida a las actividades de alto rendimiento a nivel regional, junto con aportar al desarrollo de las comunidades cercanas a través de espacios públicos y deportivos. Adicionalmente contempla una residencia para deportistas de otras ciudades, zonas de estudio, comedores y consulta médica. La Serena is one of the cities with the fewest sporting facilities. The High Performance Sports Center accommodates activities at the regional level, as well as contributing to the development of nearby communities by means of public spaces and sports areas. It additionally includes a residence for athletes from other cities, study areas, canteens and medical services.
