Bajo estas premisas, se propone proyectar ocupando el vacío, construyendo la universidad por sobre la isla y a lo largo de pasarelas, convirtiéndola en un gran memorial intocable y contemplable desde la obra. Al mismo tiempo, el programa de universidad actúa como centro multicultural atrayendo al público por sus actividades y configurando este memorial. El proyecto se basa en tres elementos superpuestos: la isla intocable, las pasarelas configuradoras de una grilla y los recintos como módulos con programas universitarios y públicos. Los módulos logran que el proyecto se base en una estructura flexible a la cual podemos agregar o quitar partes según necesidad.
With these considerations, the design proposal occupies the voids, building the university along walkways and over the island, transforming it into a great memorial to be untouched and contemplated from the building. At the same time, the university program acts as a multicultural center attracting the public with its activities and the memorial. The project is based on three overlapping elements: the untouchable island, the walkways organized in a grid and the enclosed premises as modules with university and public programs. The modules configure the project as a flexible structure, which can add or remove portions as needed.
