El diseño privilegia la orientación nororiente y norponiente en todos sus espacios habitables, logrando un asoleamiento que optimiza el acondicionamiento térmico especialmente en primavera, otoño e invierno, considerando el clima de la zona. De esta geometría nace y se prolonga en voladizo hacia el lago, en hormigón armado, la piscina temperada de 25 m de largo, la cual es vidriada en sus costados y cubierta, recibiendo radiación solar todo el día. Se plantea una arquitectura contemporánea que no busca imitar el estilo típico de la zona, "mezcla alemana-chilota". Se utilizó hormigón armado que se dejó a la vista, manifestándose de manera honesta y en algunos casos hasta brutalista hacia sus exteriores e interiores. De esta forma se logran grandes aperturas hacia el exterior, incorporando el paisaje sin competir, sino dialogando con la imponente naturaleza del lugar. Para el hormigón se utilizó moldaje ejecutado en obra con tableado de pino, evocando la identidad de la construcción de la zona. La naturaleza marcará el paso del tiempo con el musgo y vegetación que con los años envolverán los muros, haciéndose parte del entorno. The design favors northeast and northwest orientations in all its habitable spaces, obtaining the necessary solar exposure to optimize thermal conditioning especially in spring, autumn and winter, in consideration of the climate of the zone. The geometry extends a cantilever towards the lake, a 25 m long heated swimming pool in reinforced concrete, with glazed façades and roof allowing for all-day solar radiation. The proposal presents a contemporary architectural design that doesn’t seek to mimic the typical style of the area, a "German-Chilote mix". Exposed concrete was used with an honest and in some cases brutalist manifestation inside and out. This allows for large openings to the surrounding views that incorporate the landscape, not in competition, but in dialogue with the striking nature of the site. The formwork for the concrete was built with pine boards, suggesting the character of local construction. Nature will mark the passage of time with moss and vegetation that over the years will cover the walls, which will become part of the environment.
