Estrategias de eficiencia energética aplicadas al Terminal Internacional de Pasajeros Puerto de Magallanes Energy efficiency strategies applied to the International Passenger Terminal of the Port of Magallanes
Se proponen cuatro programas diferentes en las distintas zonas: 1. El frente urbano de la zona logística se activa a través de la reutilización de una de las antiguas bodegas del puerto, donde se propone un programa educacional y recreativo infantil: el Exploratorio Antártico. 2. La explanada del puerto se abre a la trama urbana y se activa a través del Terminal Internacional de Pasajeros (TIP). 3. En el borde sur del recinto portuario se libera suelo para el desarrollo de proyectos turísticos y náuticos como el Muelle Pata Gau y la nueva Marina de Punta Arenas, que se sitúa sobre un mirador hacia el nuevo borde sur. 4. En el extremo meridional de la Costanera se ubicará el Muelle Juan Ladrillero. Su café y plataforma a nivel del agua generará un pequeño balneario, que activará el sector al tiempo que se convertirá en punto de llegada y retorno del nuevo paseo costero. El borde sur de la Costanera se conectará longitudinalmente al tramo norte a través de una nueva concepción del paseo de borde costero: establecer el espacio de estancia y disfrute a nivel del mar. El nuevo TIP se propone como un edificio ligero y transparente de 3.310 m², cubierto por un paño tenso cuyo perímetro demarca un área protegida. Se instala en el borde marítimo como un espacio fluido y diáfano. Una imagen nueva para la fachada marítima de la ciudad y una experiencia memorable para los visitantes que embarcan o desembarcan en la zona.
Different programs are proposed for four different areas: 1. The urban front of the logistics area is activated through the reuse of one of the old port warehouses, where an educational and recreational children's program is proposed: the Antarctic Exploratory. 2. The esplanade of the port opens to the urban fabric and is activated through the International Passenger Terminal (IPT). 3. On the southern border of the port area, a portion of land is cleared for the development of tourism and nautical projects such as the Pata Gau Pier and the new Marina of Punta Arenas, which stands on a lookout towards the new south border. 4. At the southern end of the Coastal Promenade the Juan Ladrillero Pier will be located. Its coffee shop and platform at water level will generate a small resort, which will activate the sector and become a point of arrival and return for the new coastal walk. The southern end of the Coastal Promenade will be connected longitudinally to the northern sector with a new concept of coastal promenade: the establishment of spaces of rest and enjoyment at sea level. The new IPT is proposed as a light and transparent building with 3,310 sqm, covered by a tensile fabric whose perimeter demarcates a protected area. It is installed on the maritime border as a fluid and diaphanous space. A new image for the maritime facade of the city and a memorable experience for visitors who embark or disembark in the area.
