After School Rec Assistant Site Coordinator: (Wilmette Park District) Location: Wilmette, IL Pay: $18.00 - $21.00 per hour Hours per Week & Shifts: Monday through Thursday, 3:00 to 6:00 PM and Friday, 2:00 to 6:00 PM. This position follows the 2026-2027 D39 School Calendar. Description: The After School Rec Assistant Site Coordinator helps support the daily operation of the After School Rec program for children in Kindergarten through 4 th grade. This position works closely with the Site Coordinator to support staff, participant safety, daily activities and smooth transitions. The Assistant Site Coordinator may step into a leadership role when needed, help guide counselors, assist with attendance and check-in/out, communicate with families and help prepare supplies and program spaces. Requirements: Prior experience working with children in a recreational or educational setting required. Leadership experience or demonstrated initiative in a team setting strongly preferred. Must have strong communication skills, remain calm under pressure and feel comfortable helping guide staff and participants. Must be organized, dependable and able to manage multiple tasks. CPR/First Aid certification is required within three months of hire and provided by the Park District. Fields of Study: Education, Human Services, Communication Posted: 7/30/2026 (NEW!) After School Rec Counselor: (Wilmette Park District) Location: Wilmette, IL Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour Hours per Week & Shifts: Monday through Thursday, 3:00 to 6:00 PM and Friday, 2:00 to 6:00 PM. This position follows the 2026-2027 D39 School Calendar. Description: The After School Rec Counselor helps create a safe, welcoming and engaging after-school environment for children in Kindergarten through 4th grade. This position leads games, crafts, group activities and quiet time, supervises children during free play and snack time and helps with homework when needed. The Counselor also maintains attendance records, communicates with parents/guardians during pick-up, supports positive behavior and helps keep program spaces clean and organized. Requirements: Previous experience working with children preferred. Must enjoy working with children, communicate well and work well with staff, supervisors, families and participants. Must be dependable, flexible and able to work independently and as part of a team. CPR/First Aid certification is preferred
