Lauren Roth (she/her) • Assistant Professor, Voice & Speech • BFA, New York University • MFA, California State University-Long Beach

and Cartographies of Power: Repositioning the Latina/o Americas and 50 Key Figures in Queer US Theatre . He serves as Performance Review Editor for Theatre Journal . From 2004 to 2011, he was the Education Director for the Off-Broadway Vineyard Theatre. He is the author of a play for young actors, My Uncle Shakespeare , and has directed productions for Missoula Children’s Theatre, Boston Children’s Theatre and the John Harms Performing Arts Center, among others. Credits include Angels in America (dramaturg, Repertory Theatre St. Louis), The Little Prince (director, Webster University), The Ant and the Grasshopper and Greek Myths: Heroes and Monsters (director, Imaginary Theatre Company), the Love’s Labors Lost and Romeo and Juliet Green Shows (director, St. Louis Shakespeare Festival) and the Briefs Theatre Festival (dramaturg). Gad received the 2020 William T. Kemper Award for Excellence in Teaching at Webster University.

Lauren Roth is an artistic educator and voice, speech and accent coach. Select coaching credits include Once On This Island and Waitress (Broadway National Tours), Nothing Gold Can Stay (A.R.T./New York Theatres) and Murder on the Orient Express and Once (Duluth Playhouse). Lauren previously served as an assistant professor of Voice & Speech at the University of Minnesota Duluth, where she received a Distinguished Directing Award through the Kennedy Center American College Theatre Festival for her direction of Stupid F##king Bird . She is a proud VASTA member and certified teacher of Knight- Thompson Speechwork.
