in Technical Direction, props, rigging and furniture making. Jacob has served in roles including technical director for Metro Theater Company, lead carpenter at St. Louis University High and assistant technical director at Hope Summer Repertory Theatre. His fabrication skills have been honed through custom work with Refab STL and Goebel and Co. Furniture, where he transformed reclaimed and high-end materials into functional works of art. A proud Webster alum, Jacob is excited to return and passionate about mentoring the next generation of theatre technicians. John Ryan is the scene shop supervisor and assistant technical director for the Conservatory at Webster University. He supervises scenery build crews, load-ins, technical rehearsals and strikes, and tracks production budgets for the department. He has worked as an electrician for the Black Hills Playhouse, the San Jose Repertory Theatre, Opera San Jose, the Omaha Community Playhouse, Opera Theatre of Saint Louis, Circa 21 Dinner Theatre and the St. Louis Shakespeare Festival. John has a BA from Augustana College in Computer Science/ Mathematics and Theater.

Lauren Roth is an artistic educator and voice, speech and accent coach. Select coaching credits include Once on This Island and Waitress (Broadway National Tours); A Knock on the Roof (New York Theatre Workshop); Nothing Gold Can Stay (A.R.T./New York Theatres); and Murder on the Orient Express and Once (Duluth Playhouse). Prior to joining Webster, Lauren served as an assistant professor of voice & speech at the University of Minnesota Duluth, where she received a Distinguished Directing Award through the Kennedy Center American College Theatre Festival for her direction of Stupid F##king Bird . She is a proud member of VASTA and ATHE, a certified teacher of Knight-Thompson Speechwork and a Certified Level One Practitioner of The Singing Athlete system.

Before joining Webster, he spent a decade freelancing in NYC and then taught Lighting Design at Arizona State University. His lighting designs include Beautiful: The Carole King Musical (Tuacahn, La Mirada), Masters of Illusion--Live! (US/Canada Tour), The Cher Show, The Wedding Singer (Gateway Playhouse), The Goodbye Girl , The Baker’s Wife (Theatre Row, NYC), Othello (New Place Players, NYC), Kinky Boots (Forestburgh Playhouse), and La Bohéme (El Paso Opera). As a lighting, director he has worked at CNN, Bloomberg, and Broadway HD. Ethan’s local designs include two seasons at Tent Theatre (Springfield, MO), Coming Home For Christmas (Silver Dollar City), Chicken
