Issues such as slow performance, usability challenges, and storage limitations prompted the Admi- nistration to pursue a more modern and scalable solution. The Nation Municipality is moving ahead with a complete redesign of its municipal website following Council’s approval to allocate $45,359.64 in the 2026 budget. Combined with $30,000 already reserved in 2025, the total investment in the new website project will be $75,359.64.

Both Gérald Gauthier, of the accounting àSN./1--1BOE7BMÊSJF1BSJTJFO àOBODF director for the United Counties of Pres- cott-Russell (UCPR), confirmed the budget surplus in their fiscal year-end reports to council April 23. “As per our corporate policy the general surplus is transferred to the working capital reserve,” said Parisien, “and the public works surplus transferred to the linear assets reserve fund.” The UCPR finished 2024 with about $2.7 million of unused funds remaining from its annual budget.
