Letters to Mothers

I come from a family where strong women have always been my role models. These women have taught me the true meaning of resilience and sacrifice with every step. My mom and grandmother have been my greatest support through ev- ery challenge life has thrown at me, but they were also the first to cel - ebrate my victories, no matter how small. To them, each of my accom- plishments is their own, and that’s an invaluable gift. They taught me what it means to be a woman, to embrace the power it holds, to be true to myself, and to face whatever comes my way, always finding something beautiful, even when the road is dark. Now, as a mother, my greatest goal is to give back, even if just a little, of all the sacrifice and love my grandmother gave me. My daughter is my biggest inspiration. I inspire change and education through my exam- ple, showing her that curiosity, perseverance, and empathy are key to a bright future. I know that inspiration starts at home, with small gestures that build her self-love and encourage her to explore her passions with- out fear. My role is to help her find her own voice and place in this world. I raise her to be independent, thoughtful, and compassionate, someone who can always make a difference. Every day, she teaches me something new about life, love, and resilience. Together, we’re building a circle of growth, a bond that strengthens us and makes us the great team that we are. In her, I see not only my effort but also the sacrifice of the gener - ations before me. That unwavering love fills me with hope for her future.

Some kids grow up with superheroes in capes, I grew up with one in a blazer and a never-ending to-do list. My mom didn’t need a fancy de- gree to climb the ranks; she built her own ladder. From the ground up, she worked her way to becoming the Executive Director of a thriving nonprofit for kids with disabilities, proving that passion and grit are the ultimate credentials. And the best part? She brought me along for the ride. Working with her wasn’t just a job, it was a front-row seat to watching resilience, kind- ness, and sheer determination in action. We found the perfect balance between boardroom meetings and mother-daughter bonding, mixing business strategy with inside jokes and soda runs. She empowered me not just by giving me a role in her world, but by showing me how to lead with heart, hustle, and an unshakable belief that making a difference is always worth the work. She didn’t just break the mold, she reshaped it. And I’m forever grateful to have had her as both my boss and my biggest inspiration.
