Letters to Mothers

Being a mother to twin boys, now over four, while leading as Vice President of HR has been a journey of love, learning, and limitless ener- gy. Juggling work and the ever-demanding world of toddlerhood is no easy feat, but I have enthusiastically embraced this challenge through unwavering dedication. Each day is a masterclass in patience, resilience, and adaptability, qualities that not only shape my professional journey, but also influence the way I raise my children. Motherhood has reinforced my belief in the power of core values: integ- rity, kindness, perseverance, and curiosity. These values guide me in my career, and I am committed to instilling them in my children as they be- gin to explore the world. I strive to lead by example, showing them that passion and hard work can create meaningful change in the workplace or at home. The other day, while driving home with my twin toddlers, we stopped at a traffic light where an elderly man was begging for food. While I ignored him, my children, in their innocent wisdom, addressed him as “ Dadu ,” a loving term for grandfather, and urged me to help him. When I told them I had no food with me, they quickly suggested that I make a digi- tal payment so he could buy some himself. Their understanding of both kindness and the value of transactions left me deeply moved. As work- ing mothers, we often carry the guilt of not spending enough time with our children, but in that moment, I felt reassured that I must be doing something right. Their empathy, respect, and willingness to act remind- ed me that the values we instill in them today shape the world they will lead tomorrow. As a woman in leadership, I am deeply invested in fostering an environ- ment where women feel empowered to balance their ambitions with their personal lives. Through my experiences, I hope to inspire other mothers to embrace their dual roles without guilt, knowing that our strength as women extends beyond any single title: we are leaders, nur- turers, and changemakers.

My mother: my light and my hope How can I summarize my mother’s help in just two words? Easy! Light, represented by the reality of life that shows us the way out of the tunnel, even when I tried to find another way out, she always guided me back to the path towards the light. My mother! How inspiring! To think that one day, she threw away the keys to her life to give them to me, to live for me! How hopeful it is to know that someone gave their life for me, fought in the shadows of the abyss to rescue their greatest treasure, her child! Now, I ask myself: how could I ever lose hope? If the brightest memory I have is my mother, with tears on her face, fighting and moving forward out of endless love, how could I ever lose hope knowing that? It doesn’t even make sense to think about giving up. To you, Mom, with your angelic name, Angelica, you have created an un- stoppable spirit of self-improvement within me. Your very name carries the presence of angels. Led by you, the angels never abandon me and give me the conviction never to give up. Because one mother decided to raise her child, a warrior was born, made

of iron and steel, son of the angels, led by you. For you, mom, and only for you, I am who I am. Thank you today and always, Angelica, my guardian angel.
