October 2023 - Proaudio Magazine - Sound Press

PSP: What advice would you give to budding artists aspiring to follow in your footsteps? TimAdeep: The most valuable lesson I've learned is to respect the process. Rushing to the finish line is not the solution; it took me a while to accept that. To fellow upcoming artists, I would say have a passion and commit your heart to it. Your unique sound will evolve over time, and that will be your signature for life. Experiment, find your subgenre, and attract the right audience. Avoid making excuses, procrastinating, comparisons, taking uninformed advice to heart, succumbing to perfectionism, and seeking validation. Remember, music is bigger than us.

PSP: Could you share your favorite performance venues and what sets them apart? TimAdeep: The venues I've enjoyed performing at the most and still consider the best for music are Deep Town Jozi, We House Sundays, and Dope Room. These venues appreciate the music I create and play for them, creating a remarkable experience for both the audience and me.

PSP: What does an average day look like for you?

TimAdeep: I dedicate most of my time to my bedroom studio, working on projects to sustain myself financially and upgrading my equipment. Additionally, I spend time mentoring those seeking guidance in music design, hacks, flexibility, and engaging with my audience on various social media platforms and websites I utilize. I'm also involved in alternative production pursuits like graphics.

A BIG thank you to Themba Obed Kubheka (TimAdeep) for sharing his insightful journey and valuable insights with Proaudio Sound Press Magazine.
