PAYROLL PETS

Modern life is incredibly busy. Combining work and home life can be a balancing act, and recently, we’ve all been exposed to considerable uncertainty. Pets can really help our mental well-being and help us find some solace and stability in difficult times. We asked you, the payroll professionals, to show us your pets.

Here are just a few of your wonderful furry and feathered friends...

Name: Cleo and Parker Sent by: Georgina Ward MCIPPdip, head of payroll, DJCA “Say hello to Cleo and Parker. The best payroll colleagues I could ever have wished for! They’ve kept me company since leaving the office life behind and taking on a fully remote position. “Parker loves nothing more than getting involved in my Zoom meetings. Cleo is more of a ‘let’s chat by the water cooler’ colleague, as she’ll be asleep in bed when there’s work to be done. She loves my office chair so much I have to move her most mornings, much to her disgust!”

Name: Fergus Sent by: Emma Barrie MCIPPdip, payroll executive, Grant Thornton UK LLP “This is Fergus, asking how he can help with your payroll query today.” 😊

Name: Jilly Sent by: Sarah Craig, payroll and benefits manager, Summit Restaurant Group LLC “This is Jilly. We got her this past January and she’s 14 years old. Jilly has brought our office laughs and happiness. It really changes the vibe having an office pet. We love her.”

Name: Lilly Sent by: Lisa Hitchen, payroll assistant manager, BDO UK LLP “Lilly is my bestie and has helped me through many difficult times. She kept me sane during lockdowns with our daily walks and has been by my side while working from home. I would be lost without her!”

If you’ve submitted your payroll pet to us and they’re not included, you’ll see them in a future issue of Professional .
