• See general rules on page 7-9. • The Carolina Classic Fair Management, Employees, Department Workers, and Volunteers will take every precaution to protect exhibits but will not be held responsible for any loss, breakage or damage to any article or exhibits. • All wines will be displayed during the Carolina Classic Fair from October 4th through October 13th, 2024. All displayed wine must be picked up at the Fair office between October 15-18. 2024. Any wine not picked up by October 18th, 2024, will become property of the Carolina Classic Fair and will be disposed of. The Carolina Classic Fair will not ship wine back to ex- hibitors. • Only Wines made from at least 75% fruit grown in the Mid-Atlantic South-eastern Region (GA, NC, SC, TN, VA and WV) will be eligible to compete for Double Gold medals and for Rosettes for Best White Dry Wine, Best Red Dry Wine, Best White Sweet Wine, Best Red Sweet Wine and Best Dessert & Fruit Wine and a trophy for Best In Show for Commercial entries and a Rossette for Best Amateur for Amateur entries. *There is a column on the entry form to indicate this information. • THE DECISION OF THE JUDGES WILL BE FINAL. Who can enter? Competition is open to a commercial vineyard, winery, or amateur in North Car- olina, Georgia, South Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia, and West Virginia. Do I mail in my entry form? YES, you can. You can also enter online and then mail your wines to the Fair office, Carolina Classic Fair: 421 W 27th Street Winston-Salem, NC 27105. When is the deadline for entries? July 22, 2024. Is there an entry fee? $15.00 per commercial entry. $5.00 per amateur entry. Entries must ac - company wine being shipped. If you entered online and paid online, please place a copy of your entry form in the box. (Make checks payable to: City of Winston Salem) How many bottles of wine do I need to send for each entry? All entries must consist of (2) two bottles of wine. If bottles are smaller than 750mL, (3) bottles are required. One bottle will be used for judging and the other for display during the Fair. Are there any shipping instructions? Please enclose in your shipping box the entry form com- pleted in full and your entry fee. (unless you have paid online, just include a copy of your entry form). If you are sending multiple boxes, please mark them as box 1 of 2, 2 of 5 etc. Please place your entry form in box 1. Make sure that all the contact information is filled out. ENTRY INFORMATION The Carolina Classic Fair is sponsoring the Commercial and Amateur Wine Competition and Display to encourage, stimulate and enrich the reputation of Southeastern vineyards and wineries that produce wines of outstanding quality. The uniqueness of this competition gives creditability to the wine industry and it’s future.
