ENTRY INFORMATION

• See general rules on page 7-9. • The Carolina Classic Fair Management, Employees, Department Workers, and Volunteers will take every precaution to protect exhibits but will not be held responsible for any loss, breakage or damage to any article or exhibits. • All entries must be brought in good condition. • Trees must be decorated on September 28th, from 10:00 am-4:00 pm and Sunday 29th, from 12:00 pm-4:00 pm. • Organizations that are chosen to decorate trees must submit (on the day they decorate) on 8 ½” x 11” sheet paper the theme they choose and how they followed the theme the choose. Paper must be typed. Organization’s name, contact person, address and phone number must be typed or written on the reverse side of the paper. DO NOT write the organization’s name on the front of theme paper or include the name in the write up. • THE DECISION OF THE JUDGES WILL BE FINAL. Who can enter? This competition is open to YOUTH non-profit organizations ONLY. Where should I go to drop off my exhibits? Please come in Gate 8. Where will my exhibit be displayed during the Fair? Yesterday Village-Church. (Building K see map on page 12). Do I main in my entry form? Yes, you will want to mail in your entry form as trees are selected by a lottery. (There will be 6 tree locations) If you are selected the Contest Coordinator will contact you by phone/email. Do we need to provide the tree? Yes, you will need to have a 7” Artificial tree. May be pre-lit or pre- strung with lights. NO pre-decorated, fiber optic or fiber glow trees will be accepted. Only green, tradi - tional, layered branch, artificial Christmas Tree will be accepted. What can I not use on the tree? There should be NO food or candy. Lighted candles are not allowed due to fire regulations. How many people should we have to decorate the tree? You MUST have at least (4) people present and helping decorate the Christmas Tree (2) of them which must be youth. Is there a theme? Yes. Your organization will need to follow the theme listed on the following page. What happens if I do not pick up my item on the scheduled date? You can pick up your ribbon and item in the office 14 days after the last day of the Fair. After 14 days the item will be discarded at the discretion of the Fair Management.
