ENTRY INFORMATION

• See general rules on page 7-9. • The Carolina Classic Fair Management, Employees, Department Workers, and Volunteers will take every precaution to protect exhibits but will not be held responsible for any loss, breakage or damage to any article or exhibits. • All entries must be brought in good condition. • THE DECISION OF THE JUDGES WILL BE FINAL. Who can enter? Residents of North Carolina and the following adjacent counties in Virginia: Carroll, Patrick, and Grayson. Where should I go to drop off my exhibits? Please come in North Gate. Please see the map on the exhibitor letter that will come with your entry tags. Where will my exhibit be displayed during the Fair? Event Center “Education Building” (Building B see map on page 12). How should I mount my photo? 8 x 10 photos only (except Digital Manipulation) Must be securely mounted on 11” x 14” black or white foam core with a thickness of 1/8” or 3/16” (available at frame shop). No white boarder allowed around photo except foam core. No frames, no glass, no mats. DO NOT ADD EMBELLISHMENTS OR TITLES. Only glossy or Matte Finished photo prints. Where should I attach my tag? Tags should be attached to the upper right-hand corner front side. Secure string of entry tag to back side of foam core with tape. DO NOT REMOVE CLAIM CHECK. Can I enter a photo that has been entered in previous years? NO, they must have been taken after the last day of the previous Fair. Can adults enter this department? No, this department is for grades 4th through 12th. Does the photo have to be my original photo? Yes, the photo must be the boa fide property of the exhibitor and must have been taken by the exhibitor. Can I alter my photograph? No altering of photos with Photo Editing Software. Can I mail in my exhibit? No. How many exhibits can be entered in each class? One entry, per person, per class. When will my tags be mailed out? All tags will be mailed out after September 1st. What happens if I do not pick up my item on the scheduled date? You can pick up your ribbon and item in the office 14 days after the last day of the Fair. After 14 days the item will be discarded at the discretion of the Fair Management.
