2024 Carolina Classic Fair Competitive Entry Catalog

DEPARTMENT E - LIVESTOCK

SPECIAL LIVESTOCK SHOW School-age youth that meets the “Individuals with Disabilities Education Act”, or IDEA as identified in 300.8 are eligible to borrow a dairy goat and/or a beef heifer from a livestock exhibitor to show in the Special Livestock Show at the Carolina Classic Fair, but must register by September 22 to receive prizes and free admission to the fair on Saturday, October 12. This event is free and is sponsored by the Carolina Classic Fair and Forsyth County Farm Bureau. The dairy goat show will be held at 1 p.m. in the Sheep/Goat/Swine Barn (Farmers Market). All exhibitors should report to Gate 8 off of 27/28th Street. Note that parking is limited and you are not guaranteed a parking space. From Gate 8, a golf cart will bring you up to the end of the livestock/cattle barn. Those participating in the goat show will need to walk the rest of the way to the Sheep/Swine Barn (Farmer’s Market) next to Goodwill. Check- in with April Bowman at the announcer’s stand when you arrive. After the dairy goat show, youth may then go enjoy the fair. The beef cattle show will be held at 5 pm in the Livestock/Cattle Barn. Please check-in with April at the announcer’s stand again upon arrival around 4:40 pm. Youth should register:
