RULES AND REGULATIONS

• Open World-wide to exhibitors who have reached their sixth (6th) birthday on January 1 of this year and those who have not reached their 21st birthday on January 1 of this year. • Each exhibitor must enter online or send an entry blank for each breed, listing breeds, and entry blank must be filled out completely, including Social Security Number of exhibitor or Federal Tax ID for Farm. Premiums cannot be paid without this information. • Animals must have been in the Exhibitor’s care for 30 days prior to show date. This must be stated and signed by Junior Exhibitor on entry blank. Ownership by exhibitor is not required. • NO FITTING OF HEIFERS ALLOWED, I.E., NO ADHESIVES, NO PAINT. • Animals may be entered in both Open and Junior shows. • Animals showing only in Junior Show must be in place Saturday, October 12, by 12:00 noon. • Animals will be released Sunday, October 13, at 8:00 pm. • If Junior exhibitor has more than one (1) animal entered in any class, another Junior exhibitor • For an animal to show in the Jr. Simmental Show, the registration papers must state that the animal is three quarters blood or purebred Simmental. Star Five Santa Gertrudis (Percentage) cattle are able to show in the Santa Gertrudis Show. • Bedding mulch will be provided for Junior Show. • Health Regulations on page 59 and General Livestock Rules on pages 52 apply to Junior Show. • Junior Exhibitor showing Beef Cattle must not have anyone in the Show Ring at anytime. • Cattle will be shown in the following order: All Other Breeds, Commercial, Hereford, Red Angus, Simmental, Angus, and Santa Gertrudis. • THERE WILL BE NO SUBSTITUTIONS OR ADDITIONS. may show animal, subject to approval of Show Chairman. • A registered animal cannot be shown in Commercial. Additional Feeder Steer Rules • Feeder Steers must be weighed and in place by 12 Noon on Saturday, October 12. • Only Steer calves without horns are eligible to show. Calves must be completely healed from dehorning and castration. • Steers must be born in fall of 2023 through the spring of 2024. Steers must weigh between 300 and 1099 pounds to be eligible to show. • Fitting is only allowed for the Feeder Steer Show. • Feeder Steers only will be released after the show on Saturday, October 12.
