POSITION STATEMENT: Amino Pro V is an innovative fertilizer derived from plant-based protein hydrolysate. This plant- derived protein source is rapidly absorbed by leaves, shoots, and roots then translocated throughout the plant. Amino Pro V increases abiotic stress tolerance, stimulates photosynthesis, and promotes increased root mass.

DIFFERENTIATORS: - Pro V is manufactured by breaking down plant proteins enzymatically in water (enzymatic hydrolysis). This process ensures Pro V consists of biologically active amino acids and peptides. o Competitive products claiming 100% “free” amino acids are likely manufactured their products using a chemical hydrolysis process. This process can render amino acids biologically inactive and removes all peptides that play important roles in nutrient uptake, signaling, and protein construction. - Pro V amino acids are plant based. o Competitive products are both plant based and animal based – some don’t state their source. Animal based products can be an inconsistent source of amino acids, their manufacturing process can be environmentally unfriendly, and the finished product is often high in NaCl content and potentially phytotoxic. - Pro V should be applied prior to the onset of stress and continued as part of an ongoing plant nutrient health program. oWhen under stress plants begin to harvest existing proteins for amino acids, leading to premature leaf senescence. Regular applications of Amino Pro V will supplement plant reserves of amino acids. Recommended application rate is 2 fl oz/1000 sq ft every 14 days.
