Fairy Ring Application timing for fairy ring begins in the spring when soil temperatures taken at 11:00 am at a 2” depth average 65-70ºF for five consecutive days in the warmer regions of the US. These applications should be watered-in with 0.125” to move fungicide down to where the fungi are active. PRO TIP : Consider adding wetting agents to your fairy ring program to address soil hydrophobicity and enhance fungicide movement deeper into the soil profile. Always most effective to have the wetting agent applied a week prior to soil-applied fungicides if possible.
Large Patch Application timing for large patch begins in the fall when soil temperatures at 2” depth fall to an average of 70- 72ºF for five consecutive days when taken at 11:00 am. Additional large patch applications may be needed in the fall and winter depending on your species, location, temperature, and rainfall. Rotate applications to Kalida ® (0.4 fl. oz.) if the annual maximum of Mirage ® Stressgard ® has been reached (6.5 fl. oz. per 1,000 ft 2 per year).
