Let me start by thanking all the people that made the 2023 Awards of Excellence a huge success. The AOE Chairs and Committee worked magic to ensure this year’s event was exciting, fun and fresh. Be sure to check out all our winning projects in the pages that follow. And of course, it must be said that our members are the real reason our AOE event was so remarkable. Your truly incredible project submissions surely gave our fabulous judges much to consider! Thank you to everyone. We are already working on the 2024 Awards of Excellence. Start thinking about your projects, social media efforts, signage, etc. There are categories for our builders and associates alike. It is never too early to start planning… Now that the Awards of Excellence are completed, Metro is excited to invite you to our next events. We have Grillin’ & Chillin’ in September. This is an event open to all – bring your family, friends, coworkers. There will be music, food (of course) and music. It is a wonderful way to wind down the summer and catch up with all our Metro friends. And definitely mark your calendars for the 7th Annual Golf Outing in October. It will be held at Royce Brook Country Club and is in a scramble format. You have plenty of time to practice and get your team ready! Of course, these great Metro events are quite successful in large part due to our generous sponsors. How do we get sponsors? The easiest way to get some sponsorships is to ask. For example you can ask folks to support our golf outing with the purchase of a “Tee Sign” which is only $175. I have personally supported numerous fundraisers because a friend or colleague simply asked me. Let’s do the same for Metro.
