The resulting collaboration produced the chart-topping "Thathi ‘ Mphahlayakho" and "Sikelela," launching the singer's solo career and leading to award-winning hits like "What am I to do," "It's Disco," "Uyazi Mos," and many others. Tamara continued to push the boundaries of her art to the next level, joining forces with DJs Ryan Dent and Craig Massiv to create the hit-making EDM band, Flash Republic. They enjoyed a 10-year run, thrilling fans with a string of radio hits and touring SA and abroad alongside renowned artists. Staying true to her love of Club culture, Tamara later released a SAMA- nominated alternative dance project called "Dumb Dumb," as the duo DBYM (Death by Misadventure), presenting a rich set of dark dance anthems steeped in social commentary. Returning to her African roots, Tamara collaborated with artists from Nigeria and Ghana, and her unforgettable collaboration with DJ Zinhle on "Colour s" became the most-playlisted song on radio in South Africa in 2019.

Inspired by the likes of Roisin Murphy, Jessie Ware, Brenda Fassie, and Robin, among others, Tamara has spent the better part of the last two decades honing her skills, adding new layers, and pushing South African dance music to new heights.

In addition to her musical prowess, Tamara is recognized as a passionate ally and Icon to the LGBTQ+ community and honored as South Africa’s most stylish artist. She continues to leave her colorful mark on the industry, representing her country as SA's head judge on Pan-African

music contest African Voices.

Her music has been described as the "unofficial language," celebrating

the heart and soul of South Africa, and she is set to keep spirits high, hopes lifted, and our bodies moving to the beat while pushing her art to new and extraordinary heights.
